By using Typing Sprint you agree to the terms below. They are deliberately short, because the service is deliberately small: a static web page that measures how fast you type.

The service

Typing Sprint is provided free of charge, with no account, no subscription and no payment of any kind. There is no server-side application, no user database and no support obligation. Access may change or end at any time without notice.

Your data

Your settings, personal bests and last 20 results are written to your own browser's localStorage and are never uploaded. You are responsible for that data: clearing your browser storage, using private browsing, or switching devices or browsers will lose it, and it cannot be recovered. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Accuracy of measurements

Words-per-minute, accuracy and consistency figures are calculated in your browser using the conventional definitions described in the FAQ on the typing test page. They depend on your keyboard, your browser and your device, and they are provided for practice and self-comparison only. They are not a certification, a benchmark of record, or evidence of ability for employment or examination purposes.

Acceptable use

Use the page for personal practice. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, use automated tools to generate traffic, or present results produced here as verified or independently audited. The passage text includes short public-domain quotations and generic code snippets used for typing practice.

No warranty and limitation of liability

Typing Sprint is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, no liability is accepted for any loss or damage arising from use of the page, including loss of locally stored results.
